  • Interesting that they used Akzidenz Grotesk for this. I know it’s an older typeface than Helvetica, but it almost seems like they were going for the Swiss Modern look and went out of their way to avoid Helvetica. Doesn’t it?

Oh well. For what it’s worth, I prefer Akzidenz Grotesk over Helvetica. Also, I think this is a beautiful poster. Love the subliminal “Objectified” hidden amongst the objects, and cannot wait to see this film. Jony Ive!

  • Nice catch Lester – it would definitely be interesting to hear the reasoning behind the font. However, from the outside looking in, I think your idea makes a lot of sense.

I’m a big fan of Akzidenz, but I still prefer Helvetica under most cases. You really aren’t going to regret using either font though.

  • Is the car featured in this poster the fabled Marc Newson–designed Ford concept?

    I believe it is!

And just a few objects away from the beautiful Braun calculator, the inspiration for the iPhone’s calculator design.

So many little treats in this poster to stare at and discover.
